Military History Museum

The Military History Museum focuses on the history of Austria's armed forces and navy.  It explores such topics as military technology, art and architecture.

The museum is housed in a historic building that was completed in 1856 as an armory.  It adheres to a Neogothic and Moorish Byzantine style.

In German, the museum is referred to as the "Heeresgeschichtliches Museum", "HGM" or the "Militärhistorisches Institut".  It is located on Ghegastrasse (street) in Vienna.
